What is the The Trickery Affiliate Network?
You can look at any website as a potential virtual storefront. The people that visit your site are coming for the content you provide, but they are also potential shoppers for any number of online products and services -- even if you don't actually sell anything on your website. The Trickery's Affiliate Network is a program that allows you to encourage the people who visit your website to shop online with The Trickery. In return, you will receive a generous commission for purchases made by those referred clients at the time of their visit.

How do I get started?
Fill out an online application and submit it to us. Once your site has been approved, you will be assigned your own personal identification code that will enable us both to track referrals from your site.

How do I qualify?
We reserve the right to refuse sites based on content, but we expect that most sites will be acceptable and will be approved within 3-5 business days.

How much will it cost me?
There is no cost to join the program.

Can I participate in other affiliate programs?
Yes. The The Trickery Affiliate Network can coexist with as many similar programs as you choose. In general, it's a good idea to limit the number of items or companies promoted on a single web page to keep visitors from becoming overwhelmed, and you're more likely to see sales occurring where your web content is compatible with the items you're endorsing. But the design decisions are ultimately up to you.

Can I participate if my website is on AOL or on a free domain?
No. In the past we allowed this, however we've changed our views on free domains. Many of the free domains that allow you to run personal web pages force pop-ups on the users that surf these sites. Due to the overwheming number of adware programs and viruses, this is something we do not permit. We're also looking for a more professional layout and design. An actual '.com' or '.net' URL is more professional than a convoluted URL the surfers will not remember.

Can I participate if my website is under construction?
No. Your site must be up and running before your application can be approved.

My application has been submitted. What's next?
You will be provided with the appropriate HTML code and a library of Trickery link graphics to choose from. You will be given instructions on how to place the link code on the pages of your website. You can opt to use a text link or an image. You are not restricted in using our banners. If you are creative, feel free to use your own graphics. Once the link code is active on your website, you can begin earning commissions immediately.

As an Affiliate, can I pull content from the The Trickery catalog or the The Trickery website for use on my site?
We will provide you with a library of custom graphics for you to use on your site, but you cannot reproduce any other The Trickery copyrighted material without express permission. Contact us explaining the images you wish to use and we will grant you permission to use the images depending on how and where they are used. All images used must be hosted on the affiliate's server, and NOT run from The Trickery Web Server.

Can I offer specific The Trickery products on my site rather than just linking to the whole collection?
Of course. In effect, you can create a Trickery Mini Storefront on your site. It makes a statement to your visitors that you're in the magic selling business. There will always be more products available at The Trickery's main site. You're likely to get more commissions if you also offer a link as well. Our thinking is the more you can do, the more you will profit.

How do I alert The Trickery if my email address or web address changes?

Do I have to dedicate an area of my site to The Trickery?
No. You can place your link graphic or text somewhere on your site where you feel it is likely to be seen by the most potential visitors and where it makes sense with your content. Again, our thinking is the more you can do, the more you will profit.

How does The Trickery track orders?
We use a module that has been added to software that powers The Trickery. After you sign up, the software will track the visitors you send to our site as well as sales and traffic data.

Can I monitor sales on a regular basis?
Yes. Once an affiliate account is established, you can log in at any time to see your results. Final results are posted at the end of each month. Results can vary. Sometimes, customers cancel orders, sometimes they add products and sometimes we cancel orders for various reasons.

When and how will I be paid?
All purchases made via links from your site will be tracked by our affiliate marketing software. and you will receive 10% of each sale net of tax and delivery charges, and net of eventual returns. You will receive quarterly checks from us when your commission exceeds $25.

I have more than one website. Do I have to apply separately for each one? Will I have separate accounts for each one?
No, but you will be required to list each site with us. This can be done with a phone call or email. Listing separate sites under separate accounts may also help you track which site is more productive.

Will I earn commissions on ALL purchases made by customers referred by my site?
You will earn commissions on purchases made by a customer who clicks through from a link on your site to the The Trickery website and subsequently places an order within 45 days. Commission is earned when the merchandise is shipped and will be calculated based on the actual merchandise subtotal, excluding taxes, shipping and handling. Commission will be charged back for returned merchandise.

If a customer decides to make a repeat purchase, would I still receive a commission?
You can still receive commission on repeat purchases within 45 days of the initial sale. As long as the customer first clicked on the link from your site to The Trickery, we will pay you commission on every sale that is generated from the initial visit within 45 days, even if the customer decides to go directly to www.thetrickery.com instead of through your site.

Partner and Merchant each desire to establish the general terms and conditions which shall govern advertising and commission arrangements between Partner and Merchant which result from their participation in The Trickery Affiliate Network. At any time, for any reason, The Trickery reserves the right to terminate a relationship between Partner and Merchant.
