This is one of the most astounding card effects that will bring you applause. It's one of those golden oldies that most magicians have sadly forgotten about. We didn't! There are muiltiple ways of presenting the effect. Here is one of them...
Have someone in your audience shout out the name ANY card. You immediately throw them a deck of cards. As you approach them have them remove the cards from the box. Instruct them to turn each card face-up in your hands and to count the cards aloud. When they see their card they are to stop dealing and counting. 1, 2, 3.....49, 50, 51. One card is missing. Explain that when you awoke this morning you had a premonition of the an audience member naming a particular card. To prove that this was true, you pull from your pocket only one card. It's their selected card! As a double climax, you can have a thumb writer and as you show the card, turn it over and it has their name written on its back! Whoa! Very strong!
