| This is another one of those effects that I never leave the house without. I am still impressed with the reaction that lay people give to this one! A brief routine would go something like this...A black pocketknife is shown on both sides. In an instant it turns white. It's shown on both sides and immediately is turned back to black. You graciously offer to explain how this happened. You bring out the duplicate white knife from your pocket. Explain that the hand is indeed quicker than the eye. You unmistakably place the white knife in your right hand. The black is kept in your left. As quick as a wink, they've changed places! Put the black knife away. Give out the white one and challenge a spectator to open it. It can't be done. Of course being a magician it's no problem for you! Now ask them to close it. It can't be done...unless you know how! The knives are manufactured by Morris.
