Elevator Cards

I've always enjoyed things that are simple to do and create a huge impact on an audience. Elevator Cards is pure, simple and most magical!
The magician removes eight cards from a deck of cards; Ace, Two, Three and Four of Spades, and four face cards. The cards are separated into two piles, one containing the face cards and the other cards which are sorted into numerical order. These are turned face down on the table. The magician picks up the face cards and spreads them, inserting the Ace or the Number One card one down from the top of the face cards. The top card is tapped and the magic happens. The Ace is now on top! The Two of Spades is placed two cards down from the top. With a magical tap, it, too, has elevated to the top of the pile! This is repeated with the Three and Four; each card is inserted into its numerical position between the face cards. Magically, each has elevated to the top!
