| It's not your grandpa's typical card box! Those of you who own the Mysterious Card Boxes or Mysterious Coin Box will understand the working of our new Enchanted Card Box. It's quite opposite of everyday card boxes in its method. This principle opens up the possibilities of other effects making it quite versatile. Just a few concepts... The magician shows a handsome wooden box and asks an audience member to assist with an unusual experiment involving free will. She is asked to open the box and remove a box of cards and a small envelope containing prediction. The cards are taken from the box and shuffled. One card is selected and placed inside the box and the lid closed. Ask for her name and write it on the prediction envelope. She can also place this inside the box. Have her keep the box in her possession for a while and carry on with a few of your entertaining card routines. As the suspense builds and the audience reminds you of the small chest being held by your spectator, instruct her to open its lid and first remove the prediction. She reads it aloud. When she reveals the card to your audience, it is a perfect match. A card is selected and torn and a piece of the card is given to a spectator to hold. The pieces are placed inside the chest. It's lid is closed and after reciting your best magical incantation, the box is opened to reveal the card has restored itself with one piece missing. The piece held by the spectator fits perfectly. Of course, having 2 boxes and a simple switch would allow you to take the restoration one step further by now having the corner restored as well! After several card presentations 4 spectators are allowed to each freely select a card. Each card is an indifferent card. These cards are all placed inside the box and the lid closed. With a magical pass of your hand the lid is opened and 4 aces are now seen in the box! We used to sell an effect called Trapped (Al Lagomarsino) many years ago. This employs a Locked Deck (Art Kahn) where about a card is selected from a deck of cards. Each card has a hole through it and is secured to a padlock, making any card escape impossible, or so you would think! As you slowly run through the locked deck of cards, one is missing! It is found in the once empty box being held by the spectator! There are lots more concepts, but we think you get the idea. The beautifully crafted box is made from Mahogany woods with a black colored inlaid stripe through its center giving it an look of elegance. Adding a touch of class are 4 brass feet on each corner of the box. The box is finished with a sleek piano finish assuring this will be a treasured collectible piece as well as a practical performance addition to your card routines. And the thing that makes this so perfect...no skill is involved, just the ability to present some very impossible magic in an entertaining way. And I almost forgot...while the box is handled through the routine by your spectator, it can be completely examined after the performance.
